Born in 1999 and raised in Zagreb, Croatia, I've always been a visual type of guy. I was never particularly interested in sports or other activities of that sort; instead, my main childhood interest was, and still is, art. From an early age, I was drawn to drawing and painting, fascinated by the process of starting with a blank surface and gradually turning an idea into something tangible and entirely my own.

At the age of 18, I graduated from Škola za grafiku, dizajn i medijsku produkciju, where I developed my first formal knowledge and experience in the graphic arts industry, including graphic design, printing, and related production processes. Afterwards, I initially wanted to pursue my long-standing ambition of becoming a painter and applied to the Faculty of Fine Arts. Although that path didn't work out, it ultimately led me in another direction. I enrolled at the Faculty of Graphic Arts, where I continued developing my visual and technical skills and discovered new ways of approaching creative work.

My education also gave me a strong foundation in graphic design, which has remained an important part of my creative practice. Through both high school and university, I developed extensive experience with digital image-making, layout, typography, and visual communication. I am highly proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and, more recently, After Effects, while also working comfortably across the broader Adobe Creative Cloud environment. For photography, I primarily rely on Adobe Lightroom as part of my workflow, from organizing and developing images to refining their final visual appearance.

During my university years, I was introduced to photography, which quickly became an important part of my artistic practice. What initially began as another visual medium gradually became one of my primary ways of thinking and creating. As I became more familiar with both the technical and conceptual sides of the medium, I started to see photography not simply as a way of documenting what is in front of me, but as a tool for interpreting and reshaping reality. Photography has since taken a central role in both my academic and personal work, allowing me to explore atmosphere, space, visual narratives, and the relationship between reality and perception.

I completed my studies in 2026 with a thesis titled Comparative Analysis of Solarization Effect in Analog and Digital Photography. The thesis examined the solarization (Sabattier effect) process in both analog and digital photographic environments, focusing on its historical development, practical applications, and the differences between photochemical and digital approaches. The practical part consisted of experimental research using an identical motif photographed with both analog and digital cameras under controlled conditions, allowing me to compare how different technological processes influence the final visual result.

Now that I've finished my studies, I'm becoming increasingly invested in graphic design as a broader creative field, with photography remaining at its core. I'm particularly interested in the ways photography, graphic design, typography, and other visual disciplines can intersect and influence one another. I want to continue developing my photographic practice through personal projects and series, while also expanding my approach to design and finding new ways to combine conceptual thinking with visual experimentation.

Outside of photography and graphic design, I'm deeply interested in drawing and traditional image-making techniques. I've recently become especially invested in stippling (dot art), where I enjoy building images gradually through thousands of individual marks. I tend to gravitate toward surrealistic and slightly uncanny themes, using repetition, unusual combinations of objects, and dreamlike imagery to create scenes that feel familiar yet somehow out of place. I hope to eventually bring this practice to larger formats and explore how these highly detailed, time-consuming drawings can exist alongside my photographic work.

I also enjoy spending time in nature, wandering through unfamiliar places, observing old or abandoned spaces, and finding visual details that might otherwise go unnoticed. I'm particularly drawn to things with a sense of history, imperfection, and transience, qualities that often find their way into my photography. I have a strong affection for animals and generally try to maintain a more environmentally conscious, green-oriented lifestyle.

At the end of the day, most of what I do comes back to the same thing: looking at the world, finding something visually interesting in it, and figuring out how I can turn that observation into something of my own.
