Photography.

Wherever there is light, one can photograph. - Alfred Stieglitz

Photography has always been my way of looking, collecting and making sense of moments, places and people. I’m interested in the quiet details of everyday life as much as in staged or carefully constructed images, often using photography to explore atmosphere, memory, identity and the relationships between people and their surroundings.

My work moves between conceptual and artistic projects, documentary photography, portraits, events and commissioned work. Each of these approaches offers a different way of observing and telling a story; sometimes spontaneous and intimate, sometimes more deliberate and experimental.

The categories below offer an overview of the different directions my photographic practice takes, bringing together both personal work and photography made for others.

Art photography

Silence as a learned reflex.
This series is a personal exploration of silence as something I have learned to carry in my body. I am the subject in these photographs, but I deliberately remove the face and fragment the body, turning myself into something less recognizable and more abstract. What remains are gestures, tension, skin,
Living marble.
This nude series is a monochromatic study of the male form, inspired by the anatomical precision and dramatic chiaroscuro of High Renaissance sculpture. By stripping away color, these photographs transform skin into stone, focusing on the interplay of shadow and light. The choice of the male physique is a deliberate
Light pulse of being.
This series interprets a phenomenon found in centuries-old stories; the trails of light appearing around individuals whose consciousness is on the verge of transcendence. According to the story, they manifest when a deeply repressed impulse breaks through and takes on a tangible form. They disregard physical boundaries, gliding along
Here.erehT
This series explores the moment when two realities seem to reach one another. Each photograph presents a meeting between oneself and another version of the other self, appearing through reflections as if from a different world. The images question where one reality ends and another begins, suggesting that the separation
Bauhaus.
Experimental photography inspired by the Bauhaus sought to dissolve the boundary between photographer and artist, embracing form, abstraction and process as expressive tools.

Portraiture

Umbrae.
This series of photographs of a young man is built on strong contrasts and masterful modeling of light. Through a black and white palette, attention is focused solely on visual analysis, while a sharp cut of light and shadow emphasizes the structure of the face, the texture of the beard
Become.
Experimental photography attempting to use stroboscopic echoes to convey a sense of motion and reveal the self not as a fixed entity, but as a series of fleeting presences. In this fractured rhythm of light and shadow, the body becomes both witness and ghost caught in the act of becoming.
Psychology of color.
A portrait is never just a face, but a quiet attempt to capture the soul behind the gaze. In this photography series, color becomes more than a visual element, a psychological instrument. Color interprets the self. In a way, the portrait transcends documentation and becomes a mirror of personality, of

Documentary

Along the way.
This series was photographed during my vacation along the western coast of Croatia, travelling through places such as Premantura, Umag, Poreč, and Rovinj. Rather than focusing on a particular subject or following a predetermined concept, I photographed whatever caught my attention along the way — beaches, fields, landscapes, people, architecture, small
Za-Za.
This photographic series began almost by accident. While walking near Umag, I came across the remains of the former Za-Za club, once a part of the local social and cultural life. A space once dedicated to music, dancing, and gathering is now abandoned, silent, and slowly falling into decay.
Music is us.
This short but lively series captures fellow street musicians as they promote their music, each expressing their own unique vibe. They welcomed the camera openly, allowing their individual moments, moods, and energies to be authentically preserved.
Overcome.
This series seeks to convey a fundamental truth: nature endures. Despite human intervention or fleeting moments of disruption, its resilience is absolute and reminding us that, ultimately, the natural world will prevail. Always.
Interspace.
This series documents passersby in urban city spaces who remain closed in their own world, despite their presence in public. The photographs seek to explore the contradiction between collective space and individual isolation, that is, the relationship between physical proximity and emotional distance. Without interaction, gaze, or words, the photographed

Events

Sonja.
Sonja Sajzor, visual artist, DJ, singer, and trailblazing drag pioneer, has long been the dark heartbeat of the Balkan underground scene, known for fusing brooding synth-pop beats with raw, unapologetic queer rebellion. Taking the stage for the milestone 25th Zagreb Pride at Dr. Franjo Tuđman Square, Sonja Sajzor transformed
Raiven.
Slovenian musical diva, harpist, and opera mezzo-soprano Sara Briški Cirman better known as Raiven has spent years blurring the lines between pop, alternative, and classical art. After captivating the Eurovision stage with her song “Veronika,” Raiven brought her signature dark-pop magic to the heart of Croatia in June
Drag ’em up.
This series began after one of the Zagreb Pride events, when a friend of mine got in contact with one of the drag performers he had photographed. He was later invited to photograph them and, in turn, invited me to join him. What started as simply tagging along eventually introduced

Weddings

D & L.
This series marks my first experience with wedding photography. Photographing a wedding was a completely different experience from my usual photographic work: more demanding, fast-paced, and, at times, rather stressful. Being on my feet for most of the day, constantly moving and anticipating what might happen next, meant trying
