Za-Za.

Za-Za.

This photographic series began almost by accident. While walking near Umag, I came across the remains of the former Za-Za club, once a part of the local social and cultural life. A space once dedicated to music, dancing, and gathering is now abandoned, silent, and slowly falling into decay.

Exploring the interior, I discovered fragments that together form an anatomy of the abandoned space: stripped walls, remnants of interiors, corridors, openings, and traces of its former function. Rather than reconstructing what Za-Za once looked like, the photographs focus on what remains.

The series explores the relationship between space and memory. Although no people are present, their absence is constantly felt. The traces of past activity remain embedded in the architecture, while the present emptiness acts as a negative image of the space's former life.
